Manganese Bronze comes from a family of High Strength Copper Based alloys which include Manganese as the principal alloying element. These alloys generally have higher amount of zinc because of which they are also referred as High Tensile Brass and relatively smaller additions of Iron, Aluminium and Lead. Manganese Bronzes are most commonly used in applications which requires corrosion resistance, anti-seizing properties, coupled with higher strength.
BS1400: HTB1 is a high tensile brass which has good resistance to corrosion and oxidation. Castings made from this alloy possess high strength and are cost effective as compared to other high strength alloys. HTB1 has been the standard propeller alloy for many years and are still in use because of the ease of casting. They are more highly alloyed and have considerably higher mechanical properties.

AEPL has implemented a quality system for Copper Based Alloys where all processes are monitored from start to finish i.e. from procurement of raw material, their combination, manufacturing processes, measurement and chemical analysis. We maintain our own laboratory with calibrated equipments to ensure delivery of certified ingots as per International Standards and satisfy clients' requirements. The equipment includes Optical Emission Spectrometer which uses arc and spark excitation technology. Samples of test reports are available upon request.
AEPL manufactures and supplies Copper Alloys products to Domestic as well as International Markets. Located at a single site, our smaller foundries are equipped to use in-house certified ingots and create complex shapes of Copper alloy castings and turn them into finished components using Drilling, Grinding and CNC turning centres.
