Forgings made from Copper based alloys offer a number of advantages over products made by other processes. Hot forgings are used in virtually every industry: pipe fittings, domestic faucets, radiator valves, gas appliances, window and door hardware being merely a few typical examples of the products which can be manufactured by this process. Good tolerances are maintained during forgings, minimizing the need for machining during the final component production, while the severely wrought structure ensures high mechanical properties. As a result of hot working, forged materials have superior density and freedom from flaws.
C38000 Forging brass contains minor additions of aluminium which gives a bright yellow color. It is also referred as Architectural Bronze or Low Leaded Brass. Components made from C38000 Forging grade are primarily used in Builders hardware industry because of its bright appearance.
