Forging Brass

Forging brass alloys contain copper as the base metal, zinc as the primary alloying element, and small amounts of other elements to enhance specific properties. Forging brass alloys are a group of copper-zinc alloys designed to be suitable for forging processes, allowing them to be shaped into various forms through controlled deformation under heat. Forging brass alloys find applications in components that require both formability and strength. Common uses include plumbing fittings, valves, decorative hardware, and various forged components.

Properties:

Forging brass alloys are good for shaping, resisting rust, and having the right mix of strength and flexibility. They are made to be easily shaped using hot methods like hammering or pressing.

These alloys can be machined even after the shaping process. Like regular brass, they don't easily rust, making them good for things exposed to different environments. They are also strong and bendable.
